My name is Jason Hunt.  I am a professional musician with close to 30 years experience, both in performance, as well as teaching in Edmond and Oklahoma City.  I can teach you or your child to play any musical style from rock to classical to country to jazz.  I teach students as young as 6 all the way through our more “seasoned” citizens.  I take pride in my work and put a lot of effort into my lessons.  I believe that the student shouldn’t be the only one preparing for their lessons.  I love what I do and it makes me so happy to be able to share my passion with others. Since starting as a professional Music Teacher in 1997, I’ve been privileged to see so many students discover their natural skills and abilities and reach results they never dreamed were possible. I was a Music Education major at the University of Central Oklahoma from 1995 – 1999

 

I have over 28 years of teaching experience and have taught over 350 students.

 

I have over 33 years playing experience.

 

I currently play in pit orchestras and Celtic bands in the OKC metro area. I also perform for various country artists throughout the United States. However, I am well-versed in multiple styles across all the instruments that I teach.  I have developed a curriculum for my students that trains them to be musicians, not just “guitar/piano players.”  Not going pro? No Worries! You'll still have plenty of fun getting whatever you want to get from your experience here!  We accomplish this through learning music theory and solid techniques.
